Our Ministries

“He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”

– 2 Corinthians 3:6

Family & Children

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.”

– Matthew 19:14-15

Acolyte

The word “acolyte” is taken from an ancient Greek word that means companion, attendant, or helper. In some churches, acolytes are called servers.

At Wesleyan Hills, being an acolyte is an important job for our children because their work helps provide a more meaningful worship experience on Sundays. The candles that they light in the church sanctuary remind us of God’s presence in our individual lives, in the church, and in the world as a whole.

Missions

Similar to last year, the goal for this summer is to become more aware of what it means to be in ministry with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.

Chancel Choir

Music is an integral part of all worship at Wesleyan Hills. The chancel choir is a wonderfully committed group of folks who volunteer their time and talent every week to enhance each worship service as well as provide appropriate special musical presentations throughout the church year. The chancel choir of Wesleyan Hills provides a varied offering of classical, traditional, and contemporary sacred music. They offer an invitation to everyone to join as we serve Him and make a joyful noise.

Food Drives

“The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.”
(Psalm 145:15-16)

God who created all things, sustains all things. And Wesleyan Hills is answering God’s call to feed those who hunger. By supporting a number charitable organizations in the community – such as the Memphis Food Bank – Wesleyan Hills is making a difference.

Getting involved is easy… Thank you for giving!
